Come out of Gearies school car park by our usual gate and turn left into Waremead Road.  Go over Gaysham Avenue and turn right into Cranbrook Road.

Proceed the short distance to Gants Hill roundabout, but fear not, it's the first exit into Eastern Avenue (eastbound).  Ignoring pedestrian lights (I mean discounting, not actually ignoring - splat!), go through the next set of lights (Green Gate/McDonald's).

Carry on ad nauseam down Eastern Avenue, past Newbury Park Station to the left.  Next proper lights are at Aldborough Road.  Go through, where 3 lanes go into 2.  You need to turn right at the next lights (Little Heath) just after the big iron footbridge, so get in lane well before the bridge.

Turn right at the lights into Barley Lane, then immediately left into Chadwell Heath Lane.

We're getting close now, so I'll do the Green Badge thing with the turnings:
Pass Rochford left, pass Tendring left, pass South Rd left, pass Haywards right/Cunningham left, pass Grove right (big fork with world's smallest park on corner), pass Brian left, pass Somerville left, then take next left into Bede Road, proceed to end, which is a T-junction with Bishops Avenue.

St Bede's Church and car park are in yer face opposite this junction.  If you miss Bede, just take the next left round a bend with a red brick wall with railings (The Surgery) on one corner and a chemist called Cordeve on the other into Jarrow Road, and take the next left into Bishops Avenue.

On-road parking is at a premium at busy times, so get there early!

UFC Woodford Green is set back from Woodford Green High Rd - if travelling south, you will see it behind a pond on the RHS before the traffic lights for the left turn into Snakes Lane and the Castle PH [and vice versa!].
You need to turn into High Elms (it's 'no entry' into the Links). The church is a large, red-brick building. There is off-road, as well as on-road, parking around the church, which you will pass on your left. There is a car park area all round it plus a free car park (intended for visitors to the golf-course and Epping Forest....) further along on the left.
