Valentine Singers first CD

Christine read music
at Southampton University and subsequently studied at
the Guildhall with Norman Beedie.
Her freelance career in music involves her in many aspects
of music making and education within the community;
she gained an MA in this field in 1997.
In 1998 Christine became musical director of the Valentine
Singers with whom she has performed a wide range of
music, from oratorio and part-songs to musicals and
opera.
She is also director of Writtle Singers
, a chamber choir based near Chelmsford, and of the
Tuneful Accord vocal ensemble.
With Anne Fradd, Christine leads the Spectrum Singers
, a project-based youth choir.
Christine lectures in adult education and has developed
a series of Choral Skills courses; she is also in demand
as a coach, teacher and choral workshop leader.
In 2002 Christine led the Valentine Singers on their
first continental tour, to Lake Garda and Venice.
The choir performed to great acclaim at a number of
churches, including the Basilica di San Marco, where
they sang at evening mass. |

| Tim trained
professionally with Jan Adey and has wide experience
as an accompanist. He has worked extensively with Cameo
opera, The Carl Rosa Opera Company and Opera Exclusive
on a wide range of opera and operetta including a recent
tour of Carmen. He appears regularly on the concert
platform with singers in recital programmes ranging
from Lieder, opera excerpts and folk songs, to songs
from shows. He also works at the Players’ Theatre,
London, and his previous choral experience includes
five years with The Ivor Evans Choir.
